All Neat In Black Stockings trivia
All Neat In Black Stockings is based on Jane Gaskell's novel.
The film was shot in a condemned three-storey house in Putney, London, converted into a mini-studio housing all production departments and sets, ahead of its demolition by Wandsworth Borough Council.
An empty ward at Balham Hospital hosted a number of scenes for the film. Closed and awaiting renovation, the production team readied it for filming, and in doing so brought it back into public use several weeks in advance of the hospital's original reopening date.
