A sketch series starring Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie.

The sketches in "A Bit Of Fry & Laurie" (note the quotation marks) often involved mocking the posh, the upper classes, espionage and the moneyed.

The show featured a only a few recurring characters, such as Peter and John, the yuppie-like owners of a health centre in Utoxeter ("Damn it!"), the insipid spies Tony Merchenson and Control, and Tony Inch-Practice host of such chat shows as Photocopying My Genitals With....

Our Review: This sketch series stars two of the cleverest comedians in Britain so it is perhaps not surprising to find many of the finest sketches of the decade in this show. It should be noted its its not all high-brow stuff though, there's also a good deal of extremely fun silliness and slapstick thrown in for good measure too.

This programme is worthy of watching, as it can be said to be the series that brought the genius of the Fry and Laurie's partnership to national attention and helped to establish the stars as two of the country's favourite comedians. Pick up all the episodes via the complete boxset - it's a bargain!
