Fletcher is ordered by Grouty to arrange a football match between the prisoners and an all-star celebrity team. Fletcher is unaware that the match is only a diversion so that an escape can take place. When Fletcher and his cell mate Lennie stumble on the escape, they are taken along, and find themselves having to break back into prison to avoid getting into trouble.

I loved this movie. It had a fantastic cast. Anyone else like this film?

Yes I enjoyed the film but I don't really watch Porridge that much nowadays as I seem to enjoy more contempary comedy, but yes on the whole an excellent film of its time.

One of my favourite. The bleakness of the setting is wonderful. Probably watch it a couple of times a year!

Yeah, I've always liked it, works well. One of the best 70s/80s TV to cinema spin-offs.
