TV channel TNT Sports 1 is to launch a new comedy series this Friday.

Andrew Mensah's Stand-Up Kickabout, a format in which the comedian visits football clubs and performs stand-up in the location, launches this Friday 8th December at 10:30pm.

The series is described as follows: "Andrew Mensah's Stand-Up Kickabout is a four-part comedy series combining the stand-up comic's two greatest passions, football and comedy, as he embarks on a hilarious and fascinating tour of the UK.

"Stand-up gigs have taken Mensah to all manner of pubs, clubs and venues around the country but this time he will stop in and discover local football communities from all corners of the UK."

The series will see Mensah visit Eriskay FC in the Outer Hebrides; Sheffield FC, the world's first football club; Llantwit Major AFC in South Wales; and Mousehole AFC in Cornwall.

On each trip, he meet players, fans and volunteers at the clubs, and performs stand-up in the location.

Details of this new series has been revealed on the same day that Sky confirmed Fantasy Football League would return in early 2024, the format in which Mensah is the resident football fanatic and comedian, appearing alongside hosts Matt Lucas and Elis James.

A trailer for Andrew Mensah's Stand-Up Kickabout is below. The 30 minute episodes will run each Friday on TNT Sports until 29th December, with broadcast times varying each week. For exact timings, and a detailed synopsis for each episode, see the episode guide
