Trying has been recommissioned, Apple TV+ has confirmed.

Starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall as young couple Nikki and Jason, the comedy - made by BBC Studios - follows their attempts to adopt after finding that they cannot have children.

Written by Andy Wolton, it debuted in 2020 and the third, eight-part series concludes this Friday on the streaming service run by technology giant Apple.

Series 3 found Nikki and Jason waking up as new parents to two children they are still getting to know. Now they just have to keep hold of them, which proves to be trickier than they initially thought. Thrown straight into the parental deep end, Nikki and Jason's relationships with each other and with their nearest and dearest are tested as they desperately try to navigate the ups and downs of parenting - while hanging onto their kids, and their sanity.

Directed by Jim O'Hanlon and executive produced by Wolton, O'Hanlon and Josh cole, the cast also includes Oliver Chris, Sian Brooke, Darren Boyd, Eden Togwell, Mickey McAnulty and Phil Davis.
