Meet the characters: eight year-old Bitz, her energetic and enthusiastic younger brother Bob, and their toy friends - ardent seamstress Purl; practical jokers Zip & Pop, and the action figure with a heart, Bevel.

Bitz

Bitz is an eight year-old inventor and engineer, who makes amazing creations with anything she can find and brings epic adventures to life through the power of her extraordinary imagination. With the help of her ingenious 'Engineer-o-vision' goggles, Bitz can assess a tricky situation and then come up with an awesome solution to save the day.

Spontaneous and creative, determined and resilient, Bitz never says no to a challenge: there's nothing she can't make or fix, and inspiration is never far away when it's time for a Bitz brain blitz!

Driven and determined with infectious energy, Bitz loves experimenting, and if at first she doesn't succeed, she always finds a way to learn from her mistakes and try again - with a little help from her friends. She is loving and loyal, especially to her bestie Purl and her little brother Bob.

Bitz has her own unique Steam Pink style: a mix of girl power and steam punk chic that applies to everything from her clothes and accessories to the treehouse, her scooter and everything she makes.

Catchphrase: "Time for a Bitz brain blitz!"

Bob

Bob is Bitz's little brother - he's exploding with energy and super keen to be involved in EVERYTHING!

Eager to please (especially his big sister as he wants to be just like her), Bob tackles every task with a big "Hoo Yeah!" He has the best of intentions and bundles of enthusiasm, but things don't always go to plan. However, big-hearted Bob never gives up.

Innocent and loving, Bob's passions include wearing his cardboard robot suit, adventures with Bitz, building things, rollerskating dinosaurs, trains, and his BFF Bevel - but he hates bedtime!

Along with the enthusiastic "Hoo Yeah!", Bob's catchphrase is: "Bitz blitzed it!" and "Awesome!"

Purl

Purl is Bitz's bestie, her soft, cloth rollerskating doll who has been with her forever. A whizz at needlework, Purl is a perfectionist who loves adding a touch of glitz. Sweet, loving and nurturing, she comes with a side order of sass!

Her trademark move is her bump-jump'n'twirl celebration dance with Bitz. Purl is Bitz's biggest fan and confidante, always on hand with encouragement and a supportive cheer of, "C'mon, Bitz never quits!"

In contrast to Bitz she's not a leader - but like her friend, Purl sees the best in everyone and every situation, and will always go the extra mile to help. Always to be found with a ball of yarn, she loves speedy knitting, rapid roller-skating and has a soft spot for Bevel.

Purl's signature catchphrase is "Oh my shiny sequins!", and she also loves reminding us that: "Nothing says Bitz like a little Glitz!"

Bevel

Bevel is Bob's favourite toy, a cool action figure and a power tool. In Storyworld he's the ultimate action-guy with a sensitive side, but is in truth much less clever or brave than he thinks.

Bevel has a range of tool hand accessories that enable him to help Bitz with her creations - whether she wants his help or not. The self-appointed safety officer of the gang, he has an enthusiastic "BOO-YAH" for every occasion. Though vain and competitive, Bevel is strong, handy and capable. Prone to exaggeration, his vanity is sometimes his downfall. And he has an unfounded fear of furry creatures!

Bevel's pride and joy is his motorbike and despite his flaws he is always happy to help others, especially Bob, who adores him. His big-headed nature is always at the fore, with his love of selfies and perfectly manicured fur!

Bevel's catchphrase is: "Boo Yah!" and he loves to refer to himself as The Bevelmeister.

Zip and Pop

Zip and Pop are two slapstick-loving, practical joking brother and sister zip-up cloth containers. Their primary function is to carry the nuts, bolts, cogs, bands, fastenings and fixings but their most usual pursuits are mischief, mayhem and general chaos.

A clumsy, curious and comical double act, they find pretty much everything hilarious. Impulsive and impetuous, they don't like being alone, sitting still or being unzipped! Often they have their own play agenda happening.

They speak in distinctive squeaks and babbles - Pop in a series of 'pops' and Zip exclusively in 'zips' - and tend to bicker with each other a lot.
