Jon Pertwee starred as the scarecrow-come-to-life Worzel Gummidge in six hugely popular series, Worzel Gummidge and Worzel Gummidge Down Under.
Running from 1979 to 1989, the childrens' comedy was filmed largely in the Hampshire countryside with co-star Una Stubbs. In this special, BBC Radio Solent discovers how comic actor Jon Pertwee brought the eponymous scarecrow character to life.
