Oneira is a museum attendant whose main ambition in life is to start smoking. Following a series of unusual events, including alien attacks and a very large fridge, Oneira meets Nicholi, a 400 year old Dutch alchemist who is depicted in one of the museum's painting. Together, they go on a journey to find The Book of Black Light, which proves the link between string theory and alchemy.
