Laura Lexx hosts Radio 4 stand-up showcase
Laura Lexx is to host a new Radio 4 stand-up showcase, giving a platform to comedians who've never appeared on the station before.
These include previously overlooked circuit veterans like Jeff Innocent, Chris McGlade and Wilson The Comedian, as well as newer acts such as Harriet Dyer, Aaron Simmonds, Jenan Younis and Ola Labib. However, there's also space for Radio 4 veteran Sara Barron and leftfield acts such as Andy Field.
The series is produced by Jon Holmes.
A Radio 4 spokesperson confirmed to British Comedy Guide that the series, titled The Stand Up Section, will air next year but that line-ups are subject to change.
The show is recording at Up The Creek comedy club in Greenwich, South London, next Tuesday. Free audience tickets are available
