Edinburgh's Festival Fringe is becoming a "playground for the rich", according to an up-and-coming stand-up comedian who claims that "extortionate" rates for accommodation are contributing to a culture of exclusion. William Stone, a BBC New Comedy Awards finalist in 2018, spoke out as providers charged hundreds of pounds per night for rooms during the month-long event in August.
