Writer/Director/Performer finding the sense of humour in every project
Smari Gunn is an Icelandic actor, writer and director working in a writing team with writer/producer Stephanie Thorpe. They studied European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance and are founding members of Freestyler Films. Smari and Stephanie are releasing a feature comedy documentary in 2023 about an Icelandic small town football team in collaboration with Icelandic Production Company Silver Screen. Aside from that Freestyler Films is currently developing a comedy TV series about the aftermath of the 2008 banking crash with the Icelandic Film Fund as well as recently being chosen for BFI Network's Short Film development programme.
