The other contestants include actors James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley; presenters Stacey Dooley, Ade Adepitan, Nick Grimshaw, Anneka Rice; author Philippa Perry; music stars Jade Thirlwall, Dizzee Rascal, Anne-Marie, Nadine Coyle and Alexandra Burke; internet celebrity KSI; and Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes.

The episodes will be hosted by Matt Lucas in a solo capacity, as normal co-host Noel Fielding was on paternity leave at the time of filming.

The format follows the same as previous Bake Off specials. The producers say: "Each episode will see four celebrities battle it out over three challenges - the Signature, the Technical and the Showstopper - showing off their baking prowess in a bid to be awarded the coveted Star Baker apron."

They add: "In the Bake Off tent Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will skilfully and meticulously judge each bake whilst host Matt Lucas is on hand, keeping time and spirits up."

Sarah Lazenby from Channel 4 comments: "What we all need right now is more joy. Bake Off is serving up yet another dollop of fun courtesy of some very willing celebrities. We can't promise a huge helping of baking inspiration, but we can deliver some much-needed laughs."

Kieran Smith from producers Love Productions adds: "Bake Off is extremely proud to support Stand Up To Cancer. It has been a difficult year for charities and we sincerely hope that this series will offer a lot of fun but also some much-needed funds in the fight against cancer."

The Great Celebrity Bake Off For Stand Up To Cancer will be broadcast this spring. The exact transmission dates will be confirmed in due course.
