Born in Winchester, Christian O'Connell started his radio-presenting career at 2CR (Two Counties Radio) in Bournemouth in 1999, and subsequently worked at Xfm and BBC Radio 5Live, for whom he presented the Fighting Talk show from 2004-05. Since 2006, O'Connell has presented the breakfast show on Absolute Radio (formerly Virgin), for which he has won a string of Sony awards. He is currently performing a stand-up show, This is 13, at the Edinburgh Fringe.
