Is a heatwave your worst nightmare? Or does all this heat and sun lift your spirits and put you in a holiday mood?

Heatwaves divide us Brits. There are those of us who find the heat totally unbearable, they can't stand going outside for the briefest moment, so exhausted by the heat they can scarcely lift a finger. And there are those who adore every moment of the heat and burning sun, they love getting their scanty wardrobe on, getting a few beers in, and pretending they are on the Costa del Sol.

The fact we have to face up to is that, with global warning, heatwaves are set to become the norm.

How are we going to adapt to this? How do we learn to cope with ever more extreme heatwaves and other extreme weather?
