A second series of Sensitive Skin is now in production. A dark comedy produced by Baby Cow Productions and starring Joanna Lumley and Denis Lawson, the show looks at life through the eyes of a successful 60-something couple living in metropolitan London. Along with their friends, Al and Davina Jackson struggle with sexual temptation and professional jealousy and try to cope with their fear of the future.

The first series aired on BBC2 in late 2005. Ratings were steady rather than spectacular, but it did secure a cult following and win over a number of critics who praised it for being well written and nicely observed.
