Guildford Comedy Festival

Guildford Fringe Theatre Company has launched the inaugural Guildford Comedy Festival taking place from Monday 7 to Saturday 12 July, bringing together a fantastic line-up of the best established and emerging comedians for a programme bursting with sharp wit, big laughs and unforgettable performances.
Audiences can look forward to some of the UK's top comedy talent, including Katie Pritchard, Dana Alexander, Leroy Brito, Plastic Jeezus, Paul Sinha, Abi Carter-Simpson, Graeme Mathews, Tom Deacon, Matt Richardson, Susan Murray and Danny Buckler.
Building on the ongoing success of Gag House Comedy Clubs (part of the Guildford Fringe family), the festival's line-up will span stand-up, improv, sketch and storytelling.
In its debut year, all performances will take place at The Back Room of The Star Inn, right in the heart of Guildford, with exciting plans to expand in future.
Charlotte Wyschna, managing director of Guildford Fringe Theatre Company, says: "We have been producing Gag House Comedy Clubs for almost 10 years now, it felt like the right time to launch a festival! We have brought together some of our all-time favourites for this week-long festival. Just like Guildford Fringe Festival which is now in its 13th year (!), Guildford Comedy Festival is starting off in just one venue, but we certainly have plans to grow it and to use many venues across Guildford in the years to come."
