If you're a Londoner, or heading to Britain's fair capital at any point in the next 6 weeks or so, there's a good chance you'll be making a beeline for Hyde Park and the now annual Winter Wonderland festivities.
Millions of people will again attend the event between 22nd November and 6th January 2019, featuring funfair rides, games and attractions (and no fewer than 9 rollercoasters!); a German market; a circus; food and drink (including various bars); various shows; and the UK's largest open-air ice rink.
This year, for the first time, organisers are introducing a brand new comedy club, with shows nightly in the heated Zippos Circus MegaDome, in association with promoters Get Comedy.
Kicking off at 9pm and running for 45 minutes, each evening's entertainment will be provided by a selection of the finest established and emerging talent in British comedy.
Sponsored by the Evening Standard, entrance to the Winter Wonderland site is free whilst show tickets are £10 each Sunday to Friday, and £12 on Saturdays, with headliners changing on a near weekly basis. Those confirmed to take the top spot include Luisa Omielan and Dane Baptiste, Paul Sinha, and Terry Alderton.
The show runs from opening night, 22nd November, until 5th January (closed on Christmas Day). Omielan will headline the hotly anticipated New Year's Eve show, with compere Emmanuel Sonubi and support from Christopher Macarthur-Boyd.
Tickets can now be booked via the attraction's official website.
Comedy Club attendees are advised to arrive as early as possible, as long queues can form to enter the high-security site within Hyde Park.
