I remember watching something in the mid 90's starring Richard Briers. I believe he played some doddering idiot in a wheelchair. I seem to think he met a grisly end in the last episode.

In Down to Earth he was working for his brother's gardening business after returning home from some African country where he had been the number 2 to a despot who got overthrown.

Now that I would like to see again. I remember it being quite odd.
