Mine aren't. I don't own a car, of course. I believe they wear trainers though, in fact I'm sure of it.

Actually mine is the class clown and is horrified when other kids tell each other to "shut up", etc. She's been brought up in a very liberal 'be nice to everyone' bubble.

I was joking (hence the part about me being funny) but it is a recognised fact in child early years education that some superficial status symbols are important to children. Personally I think that if you send a child off to school in clean clothes, with brushed teeth and hair you're doing them a big favour.

Of course teaching them to share and be kind goes without saying.
