I picked up my exercise bike from my parents last Thursday. It's still in pieces in the boot of my car. Whistling nnocently

Did you ever get it out, or has it now been nicked?

Unfortunately, it wasn't nicked. :D

God, you must have done some searching to quote that.

There's got to be a sketch there of a thief trying to cycle away from the scene of the crime on it. :D

Sorry I meant epileptic trainer. It has strobe lights and everything.

Laughing out loud

Sadly, I've not read this thread since about the 4th, so came across it by coincidence!

I had a free HareKrishna lunch.

I had a free HareKrishna lunch.

At King's Cross station.

That accidentally looked like an Acid House chant.

Perhaps he was doing the American spelling?

Then he was definitely wrong.

it's too late to eat!

I think I can also (well, mainly) speak for Leevil when I say: does not compute.

Quote: Lee Henman @ August 18 2009, 10:18 PM BST

Leftovers from the enormous fish pie I made for the fam yesterday. Smoked haddock, king prawns, cod loin and salmon chuunks cooked in a home-made butter and parsley sauce and topped off with creamy Philly mash. YUM!

That sounds vile on so, SO many levels! I do not know how you can eat such a thing. *shudder*

Quote: zooo @ August 18 2009, 10:31 PM BST

:( No pie for me then?

I like pie... Cool

Pot noodles exist to stop scum bags starving to death in their hovels.

Then they should be eliminated!

Quote: sootyj @ August 20 2009, 7:19 PM BST

Gavin the pot noodle is Wales contribution to world cuisine and culture, history, erm basically if it wasn't for pot noodle there wouldn't be much need for Wales.

Oh my I have transmogrified into Sootyj the racist, I've become everything I despise.

Wales isn't a race.

Sick

Renames thread: What are you throwing up.

Your past week of meals, I would imagine.

Quote: Nil Putters @ August 21 2009, 2:02 PM BST

Clicking into this thread you, for a split second, see that picture of Aaron flash before your eyes as it goes to the latest post. It's like subliminal advertising! I'll now have this sudden urge to insult black people and correct spelling mistakes.

After you've thrown up copious amounts of food in various digestive states. :)

I had for my din dins fish and chips! Chips covered in BBQ sauce, fish in lemon juice and tartar sauce with mushy peas! Followed it with a piece of choc cake and washed down with tizer!

A) You cannot have BBQ sauce with that!
B) F**k-in' 'ell. That was a lot. Did you not eat for 24 hours prior?

Garlic.

I just had cod from the fish and chip shop, but I had it with rice because I didn't want chips. Wasn't that nice. :( I wanted plaice, but silly fish shop didn't have any. Not a good just pre-Reading last supper as it were. :P

Have you got basics in your cupboard Ellie? Pasta, rice, tinned veg, stockcubes, herbs.... you can get very creative! Pleased

As "basic" as it sounds, you need both the time to "create", and the luxury of money-to-waste when it all goes to shit and has to be thrown away, because you've not got the right recipe yet.

It's doesn't take rocket science to cook something and it doesn't have to cost much. No one expects you to do a Gordon Ramsey. It can be little things like bulking out a soup with some boiled rice or adding some dried herbs to some sauce. A can of tomatoes can be bought for as little as 15p, you don't HAVE to use fresh veg all the time, food you make can be frozen so no waste and if you don't have time to boil some pasta and cut some veg (15 minutes), there is something very wrong. Plus, you can just as easily mess up a crap ready meal and waste that which would cost you more. Geek
