So is Chris Langham definitely not going to be in it? Can't they have him in it but then have a sort of discliamer at the end of each episode pointing out they think he is a bit of a sicko.
Yes, Langham is definitely out. Pity.
Where are the scripts for all of the The thick og it series?
What's everyone think of this?

Did you know there are 11 separate Thick of It threads?
Who'd have thunk it?
Anyway - for fans of the show, there's a good article in the Guardian today.
I liked Peter Capaldi's idea of doing a country podcast and meeting people from the countryside he can't f***ing stand, like farmers.
Very good for the first couple of episodes I watched, then quickly became quite tiring and by about the fifth, I hated it. Basically the same thing every week, just with different themes or plots. Okay that's the same as Yes Minister but without the subtleties and clever scripts, and with an over dominant lead, which killed it for me.
I thought Tucker was way OTT, unrealistic to start with, but just for viewing purposes he was too dominant and sucked everything in around him like a sinkhole. The fact he always won was the big problem, sitcom monsters need to lose, like Fawlty or Rigsby and then we laugh at them. I couldn't laugh at Tucker, I just wanted to hit him. This was a seriously botched sitcom, for all the hysterical plaudits it got (for its cool swearing 🥱).

You're basically describing every sitcom ever.
