All About Me

I was wanting to ask a quick question about this widely regard as terrible sitcom starring Jasper Carrott. I believe that one of characters in it had some sort of autistic spectrum disorder, can anyone remember which character that was and what precise ASD it was (i.e. autism, asperger's syndrome etc.)

I'm sure I'm thinking of the same show, think the character was called Rav and had cerebral palsy.

Seemed to remember the second series when Nina Wadia turned up wasn't that bad.

Not sure and can't find confirmation but think character may have been Leo and he had Aspergers'

Jasper Carrott has also previously donated to:

Sunfield is a national UK charity specialising in the care of children with severe and complex learning needs and is recognised internationally for its work with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

So if it's really annoying you, they may have actual information

I won't say it is really annoying me, I was just rying to figure out if it was Asperger's or not, as I myself have it.

It's annoying me not knowing now! Would have thought there'd be more information online.

There will be once someone writes up an entry for it. Someone must have a copy of it somewhere.

It is Leo, the youngest son of Colin's (Jasper Carrott) half of the family, and he does have Asperger's.

Some character points: he doesn't like football, he's not interested in anything else stereotypically male (Action Man etc), he particularly excells in and loves maths, he's quiet, is a bit of a computer geek, counts things, and he doesn't have any friends.

Whoo, I love being right!
Thanks Aaron :)

Sounds more like a para-autistic character like Moss out of IT Crowd.

Well, that sounds like an almost exact description of me, so speaking as someone with Asperger's, I'd say fairly accurate representation.

Oh sitcom is full of aparently autistic characters in need of diagnosis.

All said and done this alleged "comedy" was bloody awful!
