GNASH, GNASH...

What's with this trend of turning perfecto winning British comedy into a shadow of it's former self by selling it to the yanks?

First it was the Office; and now the Mighty Boosh is to be violated as well!

Who could possibly replicate the magic that Noel and Julian create?

We didn't buy Scrubs then re-do it with British actors did we? (unless you count Green Wing.)

I eventually liked The US Office, it's pretty good.

I haven't seem much of The Mighty Boosh, but does it really need translating? There's no British references is there? It's in it's own world.

I think it's a bit TOO weird for the Yanks.

Maybe?

Personally, i enjoy the America Office much more than the British.

Oh, and The IT Crowd (still staring Moss) will probably be on NBC next year.

It's just ridiculous.

I can sort of understand the concept of remaking Peep Show (regardless of how unecessary it is) as the show is about two flatmates, and it's shot in a very unusual way - talking to camera etc.

But, whether you like the show or not, there's nothing in the Mighty Boosh you *can* remake.

It's not about two men that work in a zoo, it's about those two specific actors' style of comedy and their personalities. How can you recreate that?
And they can't even call it the Mighty Boosh, as that's the name of their act outside the show.

In the remake of Peep Show, they'll just replace the word Flat with Appartment.
