Phil Cool - Remember the face? Page 2

"I felt sorry for him
He'd only been locked up for public nuisance offences
One of which saw him beachcombing the Dee Estuary
Found a dead wading bird
Took it home, parcelled it up,
and sent it off to the rubber-faced irritant Phil Cool
With a note inside which read: "Is this your Sanderling?" _HMHB

That's about all I remember of him, I did see his TV thing years ago, it must've been instantly forgettable.

If I remember rightly, he got pretty bad treatment from the BBC for his series, and so he concetrated on touring instead of television. A great shame, for he would still be great now.

I don't uundertand this post at all. What's Half Man Half Biscuit got to do with Phil Cool?

Last I heard of him he was touring with Steeleye Span's Ken Nicol as the folk duo Nicol & Cool.

nothing, only that those are hmhb lyrics. and that's the only reason I even remember this rubber faced irritant even existed.
