Plenty of it about at the mo. Just listening to another heavy rainfall which woke me up for the second time in a week, and I thought they use rainfall tapes to help get people to sleep! No complaints from me though nor when I got caught out in the mother of all thunderstorms last Friday, and couldn't have got wetter if I'd jumped into the sea. Nothing wrong with a drop of rain.

Just missed the tornado that ripped through Aldershot that day, whole roofs blown off just down the road, and I've always wanted to see one. 😠But there's always the rain.

We don't get forecasts like this though. California:

The National Hurricane Center is now forecasting an "unsurvivable storm surge" of up to 20 feet from Hurricane Helene for the Big Bend of Florida.a

I'm not sure British farmers are too happy with all the rain.

The spud growers round here are having a mare.
Too wet to get them in , and now too wet to get the maincrops out.
There will undoubtedly be a shortagea, so prices will go up.

Imagine my surprise when I went to the BBC Weather website, and the daily local forecasts currently have the wind at 5,360 mph!!!

Took me a moment to see the bit that says "Sorry, this forecast is wrong due to a data error. Please ignore while we fix the problem".

Them useless bastards must have a data error pretty much everyday

If the BBC weather app says it's raining near me tomorrow- I know for a fact it will be dry as a bone all day
