Memorable Characters In Classic U.S. Sitcoms

Granny in Beverly Hillbillies, Herman Munster, Frank Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond brilliantly played by Peter Boyle.

Joe E Ross as Gunther Toody in "Car 54 Where Are You." The most memorable u.s sitcom Dad has to be Tom Bosley as Mr Cunningham in "Happy Days" with John Mahoney's portryal of Martin Crane in "Frasier" in second place.

I'll go for Sheldon and Howard in TBBT and Penny('s) but for (two) different reasons, Latka and Jim in Taxi, Lilleth in Cheers and Niles in Frasier. Right, that's my bit for American comedy out the way for this year.
