I think Ever Decreasing circles or Fresh Fields as has been posted, but Richard Briers could not really be described as Nimmoesque, whereas Anton Rodgers sort of could be,and description of the everyday domesticity fits FF more than EDC where it is more outrageously subverted - so Aaron's guess gets my vote.
