I've entered with a bit of prose.

From the brief, it looks like they'll make some kind of short animation or whatnot with your words being spoken over it.

Your entry needs to be prose. Poetry. Or a short story perhaps.
Something that will sound good and roll off the narrator's tongue.
Imagine Simon Callow reciting it.

I drew no inspiration from the trailer either. I simply wrote my interpretation of the word random.

If I'm remembering correctly the winner should have got a phone call today (10th of August)No call for me. How'd the rest of you do?

Channel 4 have decided to be really random by changing the announcement date to 11th August.

I received a phone call at 6pm but it wasn't Channel 4, it was someone wanting to place an order for some Eccles Cakes. How random is that?
