Radio sitcoms

Give it to me straight (like a pear cider that's made from 100% pears) -- is the BBC the only broadcaster of radio comedy in the UK, or does anyone know of other stations that do stuff?

I'm off to see Stewart Lee tonight.

It's a damn fine show.

I think OneWord used to dabble in comedy, but that's gone by the wayside and Channel 4 were going to launch an E4 radio station, but they got cold feet and abandonded all plans.

I know that quite a few people have done comedy things on http://resonancefm.com which is an arts station in London, (Stewart Lee, Simon Munnery, Kevin Eldon, Jessica Hynes & Julia Davis, Josie Long have all done bits and pieces on there) so they could be worth a try, but apart from that, and outside of the world of RSL's and Community stations where you're essentially doing things love and not money, then I can't really think of any opportunities that exist.

Thanks, Splodge.
