Hi I'm new I am Del Boy

Hi everyone, del boy here. how are we all. as your noticed my fave sitcom is only fools and horses. Love that show.

Hello 'Del Boy', and welcome! OFAH is indeed a very good show. The BBC are spoiling it a bit by repeating it so much though. :(

yeah i know, what do you think of there follow up the green green grass. i personaly didn't like it and felt it spoiled only fools and horses standed of quality.

Hmmmm, well, I quite like it. As to how it compares to Only Fools and Horses though, that's much harder to say.
Firstly, they're very different shows in the way that they're structured and how they draw their humour.
I think that it's also unfairly looked at as if it's another Only Fools and Horses, whereas we should be looking at it as a complete show in itself, but with some characters (and the odd reference) that we know already.

Also, Only Fools and Horses has had a great deal many more episodes to establish itself, be more wide-ranging in its comedy, and generally cover more ground.

If nothing else, then certainly the sizeable differences in the socio-political climate over the past 25 years or so have had an impact on not only what material is there for writers to extract comedy from, but also as to what we actually find funny, how we react to different comedy, and so on.

So although comparisons are inevitable, I really don't think it is fair to - and I certainly couldn't - make one. Both have their merits, their strengths and weaknesses - and both get the thumbs up from me!

well we all have our oppions, aaron what other comedy shows do you like?

My tastes are very wide-ranging!

Recently I've watched all four series of Tony Robinson's sublime Maid Marian and Her Merry Men, a show criminally overlooked and tragically unknown because it was aimed at children. Going quite a bit further back, I discovered George and the Dragon (1966) a few months ago, and really enjoy that.

All the "classics" and "obvious" shows too of course, (Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Dad's Army, Only Fools and Horses, 'Allo 'Allo!, and so on), plus satirical/political stuff like Yes [Prime] Minister, Absolute Power, and Drop the Dead Donkey.
More recently, of course the excellent Green Wing, as well as Bromwell High, which I really enjoyed.

Like I said, my tastes are really quite varied indeed!

Are they all original DVDs?
Cheap at half the price.
