Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive...not a sitcom?

Small thing. Does Rob Rydon's Annually Retentive qualify as a sitcom? Its a show about the making of a comedy panel show and the private life of Rob Brydon. Its described as a show-within a show. I think it should qualify as a sitcom, as The Larry Sanders Show has the same premise and that is considered a sitcom. Someone please inform me whether I'm absolutely right or talking bollocks.

Cheers

The official BCG definition has it as satire.

Series one certainly wasn't. I didn't see all of two, but I remember it seemed to have a bit more of the behind the scenes stuff, a bit more of a story.
