So frustrating watching this tonight.
The posey yuppy started every sentence with "So".
He passed too many times.
He had his head down all the time so he couldn't tell if his team mate might know the answer.
Selfish and arrogant!

How much longer do we have to suffer that unfunny and completely banal "Sponsored by Gala Bingo" shit at every ad break.
WHY do these companies think this utter garbage is so clever, funny and presumably memorable I do not know, as it annoys me so much, IF I was ever to lose my marbles and do online Bingo, then their company would be the absolute last one I would choose!!!!! GGRRRRRR!!!!!
Yeah, those Gala Bingo bits are dire!
I think Bradley is coming across as a bit unenthusiastic in recent episodes - not as smiley and chummy with the contestants as he used to be, like he's bored with it. I suppose filming multiple episodes in one day is going to take its toll. But it's a shame when a contestant tries to make a lighthearted joke or something and Walsh just remains stoney faced and says "the Chaser's put...?"
It did occur to me the other day, he mostly says exactly the same thing each time and it must do his head in (it does mine!), also the likes of Shaun with his done to death "Just another day at the office" 🥱😦
They haven't put any potential 'trip him up' answers in recently.
Like Fanny Chmelar the skier.
Thicko on the Chase. Firstly "I'd never take the lower offer!" Why not? £4,000 in the middle or £1,000 lower (a positive).
Then of the choices which footballer opened the nightclub Slack Alice's. Best, Law or Charlton? HE PICKED CHARLTON!!!!
Is that wrong then? I've no bloody idea.
I'm not a big expert on nightclub openings though. It's certainly not a classic easy question.

Have you ever heard of George Best?

Of course! They are all famous football players.
I've no idea which nightclubs they opened though? Who cares about that?

You really are winding me up aren't you.
I'm not. Just pointing out, it wasn't actually a stupid answer. Charlton could just as easily have opened it as Best.
George Best is if course far better known for his night clubbing exploits than Bobby Charlton ever was.
However, I think the confusion here may be with the expression "opened" a nightclub, which, to me, suggests turning up, cutting a tape and hanging around for a few minutes. The sort of thing Red Rum used to do. What they should have asked was "who owned the nightclub..."

Good points. Either way. I don't think it's a candidate for Private Eye"s Dumb Britain column which specialises in reproducing daft quiz show answers.
P.s. Red Rum?
Quote: Chris Hallam @ 2nd May 2025, 7:52 AMP.s. Red Rum?
He was quite a well known racehorse.
I am aware of his work.
