Where do you get them ?

I was disappointed at first,I thought it would be Gary Lineker eating a confectionery but it turned out ok.
Not much social distancing though.

In this particular case, NPR Tiny Desk which is quite wide ranging and includes indie although, being a live thing, can often be roots based. It's the sort of place I went to at the end of my extensive world music period which overlapped with and then followed my even longer indie period which had followed and overlapped with my equally long singles chart period in which soul music was just one of half a dozen key strands. Believe it or not, the singer was named after Gary Lineker.

That's even if the spelling is different. Genuinely. I can't remember why now. I can be wary of non gender specific music acts because cynically I tend to expect that aspect to be accentuated commercially above any musical merit but I immediately felt that there was something good about the music with this outfit. They have a sophisticated sound.

Thanks.

Incidentally you managed to spot one of the serious ones although in my combinations I include a lot of things which could be read both as serious or comedic or, if not, a "not quite sure what to make of it". Deliberately none of them is labelled along the lines "hear this like this". It is up to the listener to decide. Also, where I am amused by anything which some might consider a bit sexist, I go out of my way to balance things up gender wise so that it all equals out at the end.

But here's a thing. I set out to include a crazy Beefheart song of which as you will know there are many and the track I stumbled on came to me as a big surprise. Only the accompanying video is odd, coming as it does from a film. The album title I know well. Safe as Milk. It seems, though, that I have never heard that album because I would never have listened to that track and guessed it was Beefheart. There is also a funny thing with that track. When I heard it this afternoon I swear it took me back to when I was extremely young indeed. So I think I must have heard it at that time.
