What do people make of this farce? President Obonjo is a character act who's been working the circuit for over ten years, honing his character of an African dictator in the UK. Now, Samson Kayo has revealed his new character - Colonel Banjoko, a character with too many similarities to be seen as coincidental, and it's Kayo who was given the TV show for the character. Says so much about the state of the TV comedy industry today.

Surely you can't claim a monopoly on dictatorships ? Lets hope the main difference to President Obonjo is that it's funny. Looking forward to this.

I believe I've seen another military dictator/president character on the black comedy scene. It's an unfortunate situation for all involved, but I'm not convinced it's deliberate theft.
