I've had a couple of short stories published and been on TV for a writing competition where I reached the final, but haven't written much in the past five years.

I'm currently writing my first book about how my children have turned my life around and helped me out of my depression. How by putting them first, I got them back as my best friends, and how I realised that until I could be there for myself, I would never be able to be there for them.

Sounds ghastly I know, self help books - whining depressives, makes you sick. It's part autobiographical, part fiction, part fantasy. But mainly it's humour. I've had great feedback from the chapters I've emailed to a couple of friends, one of whom is also a writer.

The time is right to get this done.
