Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival organises day trip from London

Here's a great idea... Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival is organising a package which will involve transporting London residents to and from the festival in February, with comedy events planned each step of the way. With online booking available, a ticket for this would make for a good last-minute Christmas present? Save you going down that 24 hour garage again for forecourt flowers...

The day is planned for Saturday 7th February 2015. Patrick Monahan (pictured) will be the guide for the entire day, leading the group to various comedy events. Given his reputation as a very friendly comedian, he'll no doubt be dishing out some hugs along the way too.

Titled 'The Festival Line-Up', the day starts at The Museum Of Comedy in London at 11am. Ticket holders will be treated to an exclusive show featuring musical comedian Adam Kay and the reigning pun champion Darren Walsh, then there'll be a chance to look around the exhibits at the museum, and eat lunch.

At 1pm a coach will be laid on to take punters to St Pancras, with a 1st Class carriage there reserved exclusively for the trip.

On arrival in Leicester, Pat will take the group to the 1st class lounge at the station, where 4 great acts from the festival will perform (the line-up has yet to be confirmed).

Then there will be a chance to take in two full festival shows, with dinner included somewhere within that schedule.

Finally, it's back to London via train about 9pm.

Tickets are £99. Given 1st class train travel normally costs that alone, it seems the festival really has strived to make this a great day out at a decent price.

Although 'The Festival Line-Up' is a one-day event, Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival 2015 runs across 4th to 22nd February. There's many shows scheduled every day. To find out more and see the full programme visit www.comedy-festival.co.uk
