This Glorious Monster

Hi All

Here's a quick link to the first sketch of a brand new Sketch Show that I directed.

Nicely put together.
Just a matter of taste - but I would love a punchline

What camera is that, BTW?.

Excellent sketch. Funny, clever, and well-performed with more than a smattering of League Of Gents which is a very, very good thing IMO. And now I find out that the guy playing the woman was one of the babies in CBBC's excellent show Big Babies. (Which was canned after one series, bizarrely).

If their other stuff is this good I predict big things for the Glorious Monsters.

Surely this is a pro production for a TV pilot though? Can't believe you shot this yourself.

:)

EDIT" Ah I see you're a TV ad director. Thought it looked good!

I'm actually a commercials Director:

But yes I shot this over two days with a small crew - there's another three sketches that we'll roll out over the next couple of weeks.

Glad you liked it.

Thanks for the comment.

it was shot on the Alexa.

EDIT: Blimey - I just had a look at your profile - I might have even showed you my 'Book' twenty something years ago!

Ah.
Used to work in adland - I see you've got Steve Reeves on your books - know him well.
And Jeff Stark.

Anyway, great stuff (like the puppets, too).
Good luck with your 'crossover ' work.

Was it any good?
Come to that, was I any good?

Well filmed, well acted, well written all round well good.

I pronounce this a win.

nb could maybe do with a little twist in the final punch?

Thanks for the comment sootyj - appreciated.

I managed to hang in there for twelve years - so I suppose it was okay.

You on the other hand were excellent!

This is great. Nice idea and beautifully realised. Look forward to more. What are your plans for the sketches?

Lovely premise for a sketch, well realised.

Thanks for the kind comments.

We have a producer on board getting them in front of the right people.

Who knows if they get enough online interest something might happen!

Second one.

I'd start trawling for contests with that bad boy

Cheers - any suggestions?

Again, excellent.
I think a looney cult at work in an office has tremendous legs.

Watched the first one and as my friend Larry would say, pretty pretty pretty good!
