There was a great poster/critic Roodeye who also went under the user name Councilor Vader.
I kept in touch with Roodeye over the years from time to time by email. He always replied instantly but certainly never longer than a few hours. I emailed him twice recently, once a fortnight ago and once the other day. neither have been answered and I'm wondering if the worst has happened to him. He is/was 70ish.
Does anyone know him or what has happened? I never did find out his real name so he always remained a mystery. He was a writer for TV/Radio

Nannio just popped in. now called "Rasberry Fool", several others are here.

Looks for the topic called I think "Last Laugh's Last Stand" where several old LLers introduced themselves.

But Counciller Vader was definitely not Roodeye. I know exactly who Vader was.

I have a faint suspicion that here on BCG, Veronica Vestibule (?) now gone and Lady Laughter (?) might have-been/be Roodeye.

Bushbaby, I doubt that anything Roodeye told you was true. He seemed to be mentally ill from the nature of his posts on here.

wow Bill, I didn't know that. I know Rood was said to be bi=polar but I really did like him and am sad if he's gone

I know Roodeye's real name but won't post it publicly. Don't think he was as old as 70's. Sorry to hear he was bipolar, but no surprise - he certainly had problems.

Also know who Counsellor Vader was - definitely not Rood.

Was his name known in the 'showbiz' world?
I remember him saying how old he was and he wasn't much less than me and I'm 71.

It's a clique of a different calibre, not the secret BCG clique, though I understand there is some overlap.

No resolution on this? Roodeye was very nice to me on the Last Laugh board (unlike Redwales) and some of his criticism was bang on.

I didn't like his writing much, but then I don't like anyone's writing much anyway so it probably doesn't matter. I hadn't realised he was so venerable and I hope he's alright.

I've still not heard from him.

Roodeye was very kind to me and honest in his critique.

Some LL'ers weren't as kind but I suspect folk who bully on the forums probably were bullied at school or at home.

It didn't stop me from joining in.

Well I have had the most wonderful 16 days of Olympics. There were sports I watched that I never ever heard off. Taekwonda I think - I became an addict to the games and am delighted I did. I loved every moment of it and didn't our sportsmen and women do us proud?

What shall I do now?
