I had high hopes that last night's We Are History (BBC2) might score a similar bull's-eye. But sadly, instead of launching a long-overdue satirical attack on gushingly earnest Tony Robinson-style archaeological shows, Marcus Brigstocke and his cronies gave the genre nothing more than a light, whimsical gumming.
