Katherine Ryan has confirmed that there are currently no plans to make any more episodes of Romantic Getaway, the Sky Comedy series she starred in with Romesh Ranganathan and Johnny Vegas.

Written by Ranganathan and Benjamin Green, Romantic Getaway was broadcast in January. It focused on Allison and Deacon, a couple who decide to 'borrow' the £50k they need from their rich boss to fund IVF treatment. However, on a whim, Deacon secretly adds an extra nought to the transfer, and actually takes half a million. Their web of lies kicks off a downward spiral into the criminal underworld.

Speaking to The Sun, Ryan said: "I think Romesh is doing another series [on Sky]. I mean Romesh is only doing about 40 series but they're not bringing back Romantic Getaway for the moment anyway, maybe they will one day."

Talking about her future plans, she added: "I feel like what I need to do next is write the next big hit Christmas romcom because we haven't had a female led romcom in a while that I have really loved."
