  • Daniel Foxx is to publish Bedtime Stories for Privileged Children in September
  • The illustrated collection of stories is partly based on his hit TikTok videos in which he satirises the wealthy
  • The publishers say: "This is by far the funniest book of the year and definitely the most zeitgeisty"

Comedian Daniel Foxx has written Bedtime Stories for Privileged Children, a book based on his TikTok videos satirising the rich.

Subtitled Charming Tales of Wealth and Entitlement for Tots Who Were Simply Born Better, it'll be published by Monoray - who describe it as "the funniest book of the year" in hardback and eBook formats on 12th September.

The collection of stories will be published with illustrations.

The blurb explains: "Daniel Foxx presents a wonderful collection of stories especially for the little darlings of the fabulously wealthy - that can also be enjoyed by YOU, the downtrodden, pitiful, ordinary adult!"

An example of one of the stories included is "the everyday adventures of Rupert, Shallotte and Genevievette as they ski, holiday, and drift around Selfridges - whilst always keeping a healthy distance from the dreaded hoi polloi!"

Below is an example of one of Foxx's Instagram videos...

He says of the book deal: "I can't take much credit for this, because these stories came to me almost fully formed when I sat in my local bougie café and listened to the yummy mummies and delicious daddies discussing their luxury offspring. I was compelled to note down some of the most ridiculous children's names I've ever heard, along with some truly wild anecdotes, and a few years later, here we are."

Jake Lingwood from the publishing house says: "Daniel's bedtime stories are wickedly funny and perfectly satire the conspicuous consumerism of the world in which we live. You laugh at the children and their horrible families one moment - and then cringe in self-recognition the next. I think this is by far the funniest book of the year and definitely the most zeitgeisty - and we're thrilled to publish it on Monoray."
