Worzel Gummidge Down Under & complete Blu-ray box set

Worzel Gummidge Down Under will be released on Blu-ray next month.
The 4-disc box set follows 2022's release of its preceding series, Worzel Gummidge, last year, after the rediscovery of long-thought-lost original 16mm film of the hit children's comedy.
Based on the stories of Barbara Euphan Todd, the sitcom starred Jon Pertwee as the titular trouble-making scarecrow, with Una Stubbs as his love interest, the cold and cruel Aunt Sally.
Initially running for four series on ITV from 1979, it was revived for a sequel that saw the pair move to New Zealand in 1987, running for a further two series. A total of 53 episodes were produced across both incarnations of the series, with a new 'Combined Harvest Edition' box set uniting all together - comprehensively remastered and restored - with a wide range of extras, for the first time.
The 9-disc box set will also include an exclusive CD of soundtrack music from the series. Both it and Down Under alone will be released by Fabulous Films on 13th November.
A wide array of further additional features include an exclusive booklet, double-sided poster, out-takes, featurettes, behind-the-scenes content, interviews and commentaries with surviving members of the cast and crew, and a 15-minute claymation pilot for a further sequel series that did not come to fruition.
