Meet the three comics taking on their critics

Wild Bore is described by its creators as "a playful riposte to critics", and it certainly made an impact at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. Its actors deliver much of the show while baring their bottoms to the audience and, perhaps unsurprisingly, it ran the gamut of one- to five-star reviews, as critics had fun with cheeky, bum-based puns.

The Elvis Dead, Soho Theatre review

A high-concept show delivered with a lo-fi sensibility, The Elvis Dead is a hoot from start to finish.

Natalie Palamides, Soho Theatre review

It's not often the publicity material for a comedy show has a health advisory attached: if you are allergic to eggs you may have to give Natalie Palamides' show Laid - which won best newcomer at the lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Awards at the Fringe in August - a miss, and that would be a shame.

John Bishop, O2 review

veryman comedy with a hint of subversion.

Kerry Godliman, Touring review

She's canny on the differences between "girl" friendships" and "bloke" friendships (or indeed man flu and woman flu), and the idiocy of the trend for adult colouring books; she also throws in some emoji jokes for good measure. This is standard fare for comics, but Godliman, nicely foul-mouthed when she wants to be, is caustic when required.

Mat Ewins, Soho Theatre review

Multimedia show with twists in the tale.

Ahir Shah, Soho Theatre - a bravura response to Brexit

Angry, passionate and political.

Mae Martin, Soho Theatre review - life is a drug

Dry storytelling about an obsessional life.
