Stand-up comedian Ali Woods has published his debut comedy special on YouTube.

Best Friend Ever is described as a show "tackling all the big topics; Scottish mothers, sex parties, karate teachers, and mental breakdowns". The blurb explains: "During lockdown Ali was disappointed to discover he's a terrible friend. This is the hilarious and heartfelt story of how he tried to become more helpful and less... him."

In the special, which was filmed at the Leicester Square Theatre, the comedian is introduced to his stage by his father.

Writing under the video on YouTube, Woods says: "Dear viewer, Thank you so so much for watching my first ever stand-up comedy special! This was completely self-produced and self-funded by me, as I want as many people to watch it as possible. But you want to give something to help? How kind! If you could share this video with as many people as possible, I will be forever grateful. I mean everyone, your nan's dog-walker's son-in-law. Get them on it! It's a big risk doing something as costly as this, but I did it because I'm very proud of this work and don't want it hidden on some random website for years to come. So please, please spread the word."
