The Silver Stand-Up competition returned to Leicester Comedy Festival on Tuesday 20th February 2024, with Kevin Daniel crowned the winner.

He says: "I am so happy and more than a little stunned to have been crowned Leicester Comedy Festival 2024 Silver Stand Up Champion. It was such a great night. The audience were so lovely and supportive and the other acts were all brilliant, so to win it was a real surprise."

The annual contest, which is open to comedians over the age of 55 and features a £500 prize, launched in 2012.

Hosted by Barbara Nice, also competing in this year's final were Gary Edwards, Georgia Apsion, Johnny Murph, Jurgen Strack and Mark Ahier, Roland Ghent and Our Trace.
