John Tothill has been named the winner of the 2Northdown New Act Competition 2022.

Meanwhile Adam Flood was selected as the runner-up.

And Kyrah Gray came in third place.

The stand-up final - which also featured John's brother George Tothill, plus Aisha Amanduri, Dane Buckley, Elaine Fellows, Jasmine Morton, Rohan Sharma, Sam Williams, Shalaka Kurup and Will Owen - took place last night (Monday 28th November) in the north London venue.

Last year's winner, Dee Allum, hosted the night and presented Tothill with the trophy.

This is the fourth year of the competition, and over 400 applicants applied to take part in the heats this time around. Aside from Allum, the previous winners of the contest are Katie Pritchard and Leo Reich.

The prize package includes £500 prize money, a trophy, a complimentary one hour show at the venue and a paid spot at sister venue 21Soho.

Ophelia Francis, Head of Live at 2Northdown and 21Soho says: "Over the last four years, we have loved following the comedy journeys of all our finalists and seeing their careers develop immensely. John is an excellent talent, and I am proud to have them as our 2Northdown New Act Competition Winner 2022 - I'm exciting for what's to come and to see them all on both of our stages again soon."
