Up The Creek (1958)

I only watched this because Peter Sellers was in it, but even he couldn't save this second-rate comedy film - God knows what the sequel, Further Up The Creek, is like without him.

Mothballed "H.M.S. Berkeley" with a crew of only 11 is forgotten, and so with the organisation of an Irish CPO (Sellers), they run a scam of laundry, bakery, drink and fags, supplied to the locals, by claiming they have a full compliment of men on board.

All's fine until the Navy wants to get rid on an officer twit (David Tomlinson) and so post him to the ship, then all sorts of "funny" shenanigans ensues.
Thrown in the lovely Wilfrid Hyde-White and Lionel Jeffries, and...................

Yes, I know. It's on my box ready, but I don't hold out a lot of hope, and can see it being one I will have to give up with after a short time. Never been a big fan of David Tomlinson, which doesn't help.

Will watch a bit just to be curious
