As you might have guessed, this thread is about the misuse of apostrophes.

Yesterday, the Daily Telegraph posting on Twitter referred to "the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes' daughter".

A truly shocking error from such a lofty source.

I like to think that misusing apostrophes is one of Britain's finest traditions, proudly upeld by market traders and newspaper editors across the land.

Is it just a coincidence that a new thread about apostrophes and a new thread entitled Euro's were both started on the same day or are more malevolent forces at work? I think we should be told.
