She Knows Y'Know (1962)

Starring Hylda Baker, the film title being one of her catchphrases, and it did so remind me of "The Love Match", especially Cyril Smith, Hylda's husband (not the big fat disgraced Liberal MP!) who was a clone of Glenn Melvyn (Arthur Askey's mate in Love Match)

Just gentle humour with some laugh out loud moments, so quite an enjoyable film altogether, and one of those with a mystery actress (very pretty) who disappeared off the face of the earth it seems after this film which was her last - odd.

Also had Alfred Burke (Public Eye etc) in a minor part and Joan Sanderson, late of Please Sir etc. and the deaf old bat in Fawlty Towers.

I like Hylda Baker she can mangle the English language with aplomb.

The knock kneed knackered old nose bag.

She had various tall male stooges who played the non speaking Cythia in her stage act, which included the phrase "She Knows Y' Know", perhaps the most famous, and last one, was Matthew Kelly..................

.............not a lot a people know that. (This one's not him)...................
