Make Mine A Million (1959)

Daft film about breaking into the broadcasting of the National Television Service (read the BBC) to add adverts. Sid James has Bonzo soap powder that is not selling down the market and has this whizz-bang idea of getting his friend Arthur Askey (who has bigged himself up as a big-wig in TV, but is no better than a make-up artist) to break into their staid no nonsense programmes - ridiculous of course, but there you are.......................

Fairly funny, but glad I watched it if only for the MANY cameo appearances, including a young Barbara Windsor as an uncredited telephone operator for all of about 10 seconds! Speaking of which, Tommy Trinder is also in it for about 10 seconds too, and I notice warrants a headline appearance on the original film poster - very odd.
